With constant attacks against the working class being broadcast across all of the mainstream media in a way that Joseph Gobbles would be proud of, its time to say enough is enough.
Enough of this constant welfare state bashing, enough of blaming unemployed people for being unemployed and enough of pointing the finger of blame inwards towards our own class.
There is a street in Britain where its occupants shamelessly claim as much 'free cash' as possible, a street whose occupants who have been in trouble with the law for falsely claiming their benefits but who are then allowed to continue claiming after their slap on the wrists.
This street is not in any working class area filled with unemployed disadvantaged Britons but in one of the richest areas in the UK, the street is Abingdon Street, its occupants are the members of the House of Lords.
One of these occupants is a man by the name of 'Lord' Hanningfield, a former Essex county council leader and now a Conservative Peer. Mr Hanningfield claimed a full days allowance of £300 on many occasions when he was only inside Westminster palace for around half an hour, in one month claiming a total of £5,700 whilst not attending a single debate or vote.
His defence: 'No parliamentary rules have been broken'.
My reply: 'Everything Hitler did never broke any laws in Nazi Germany. Just because its not against a law or rule doesn't mean that its morally right/ wrong'.
Its about time we remove this undemocratic, tax money grabbing house that serves no purpose but to line the pockets of the nations elite members and party donors. The SLP is committed to creating a written constitution with a democratic head of state and fair democratic system based on proportional representation.
Feel free to share this post to show Britain who the real lazy scroungers are in this country and who 'benefit reforms' should really be targeting, not the poor and unemployed victims of a society that does nothing to guarantee full employment and opportunities for its people.
